General Support Services and Advocacy Groups

The GLBT National Help Center provides free, confidential telephone and e-mail peer counseling, information and local resources for the LGBTQ community nationwide. The non-profit Center’s primary program is the The GLBT National Hotline. Call or e-mail the center for help with issues like coming out, relationships, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safe sex and others. E-mail The Center at: glnh@GLBTNationalHelpCenter.org or call toll-free: 1-888-THE-GLNH (1-888-843-4564). The Center is only available during certain hours. Check their schedule here.

The GLBT National Help Center also assists local GLBT hotlines and support organizations with infrastructure.

The Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN) strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. GLSEN promotes awareness of the issues, develops policies to address them, and builds the leadership to create change.
